Sure addresses how dance can hold a space for loss and how these emotions become part of the fibers of our very matter. The performance is set up in a form of a melancholic rave, where the repetition of dances and music step by step empty out themselves and the room, letting the nothingness make itself known. The performance holds a vibrant sense of nothingness, emptiness that is not nothing, but not something either, and the piece attends to these various degrees of presence and absence. This form of hollowing reveals how even nothingness is not empty of ghosts. The performance functions as a kind of elegy for something once lost.
